Bridge repairs required

Despite the three months of almost drought conditions in the Western Isles, a spate in Abhainn Langadail has uplifted the footbridge. The bridge has been knocked out by a boulder brought down the stream in a rare spate. The bridge is no longer functional, so the path can only be completed when the water is low.

Work is now underway to source a new river crossing and arrange helicopter delivery to this remote spot.
