The Ceann an Ora social housing development is finally open. A number of the tenants have just moved in. Post has started to be delivered, and the first washing is on the line. This joint project by Hebridean Housing Partnership and the North Harris Trust brings eight new housing units to the market. The first new social housing in Harris in over a decade.
The project would not have happened without land being released from crofting by the Ardhasaig Common Grazings Committee.
As part of the works, the Trust has created three new housing plots. The plots have water and sewerage on site and have been fenced and gated. More details of these house sites are available from Hebridean Estate Agency on 01851 700800.
