Well known, outdoor enthusiast Cameron McNeish and Tarbert resident Stuart Morrison cut the ribbon to officially open Tigh an Urrais on Thursday 29 September. Cameron was in Harris to give an evening presentation at the Isle of Harris Mountain Festival. The ribbon was, in fact, a length of St Kilda tartan, donated to the Trust by Harris Tweed, Isle of Harris.
Thanks to Harris Tweed, Isle of Harris, Cameron and Stuart, Margarita Williams (who donated a painting to the Trust office) and finally, to Kate and the ladies at the Community Centre for providing refreshments.
